Coming off our Silverwood vineyard established in 1998 home of our Foothills Pinot Noir and Pigface Chardonnay. Planted on a gentle but highly exposed north slope in Balnarring, the eastern most foothills of the Mornington Peninsula.

2023 Vintage was a drier year for a change but the vines were still producing smaller yields. Small compact berries resulted in a fuller body of dark fruits and complexity. Dark and spicy yet quiet light on its feet.

2022 Foothills Pinot Noir

“Lots of personality to the KG range and this is up there strutting its stuff. Full of morello and red cherries plus pips with amaro, poached rhubarb, fennel seeds and charred bitter radicchio. It has an Italianate expression, which is intriguing and enticing. Definitely savoury with woodsy spices and tannins a little sinewy; an austere style. Don’t be scared. The right food and this wine, bliss.” - GOLD - 95 Points
